About

Born from a 2-acre block at the foot of the Andes in Mendoza, Argentina, Rexilius Estate produces a single wine — the Mellizos Single Block Malbec.

The name comes from the Spanish word for twins, mellizos. It is a tribute to the winemaker’s twin children, Indie and Knox, whose arrival inspired the decision to plant on this extraordinary parcel of volcanic soil and ancient riverbeds.

At altitude, the growing season is long and cool. Days are brilliant with Andean light; nights drop sharply. The vines work hard in rocky, well-drained ground. The result is a Malbec with concentration and structure that the warmer valley floor cannot produce — dark fruit, floral lift, and a finish that lingers like the mountain air itself.

Every bottle is made from a single block. Single vintage. Single varietal. No blending, no volume, no compromise.
